The Honest Touch: How Honest Burgers Makes Digital Ordering Feel Human

Honest Burgers is the burger brand with a big heart and irresistible rosemary chips.

A passionately people-centric business, Honest is committed to delivering the genuine hospitality touch with every burger served from their 40+ UK restaurants.

When the pandemic forced Honest to close for eat-in, they were determined to replicate the quality of their restaurant experience for customers dining at home. They looked for every opportunity to delight their takeaway customers – a handwritten note or a freebie – but realised their ordering platform was falling short.

To provide the best experience possible, Honest needed a bespoke restaurant digital ordering platform which felt ‘Honest’ and easy to use, while integrating with their operations.

Honest Burgers worked with Vita Mojo to launch a new Click & Collect platform, fully customised to match their brand look and feel. With its clean, image-led design, the platform was easy for customers to explore. As a web-based solution it also formed a natural extension of their digital journey, linking directly from the website for maximum convenience.

With Vita Mojo we don’t have to ask customers to download an app, they don’t have to think. That was a massive plus – simplicity is super important to Honest.

Commercial Director at Honest Burgers

Honest Burgers’ new platform proved popular with customers and successfully raised ATV on Click & Collect to £21, compared to a £12 average takeaway spend on EPOS. The later introduction of intelligent basket recommendations further boosted ATV by 6%.

The new ordering platform also integrated with Honest Burgers’ EPOS and back of house systems, making it easy and efficient for their teams to use.

While Honest remain passionate about welcoming guests into their restaurants they understand that, increasingly, customers want the option of enjoying their burgers from the comfort of their own home. The Honest team work hard to connect meaningfully with their customers, whether that’s via Delivery, Click & Collect or their Honest at Home DIY kits.

Having the right partners is key to this – partners like Vita Mojo who are flexible and collaborative, able to match the Honest way of doing things while delivering the highest standards of customer experience.

There will always be people who want the option to eat our food on their sofa, or take it to the park, so we need the very best tech to enable that. We need the best ordering platform, packaging and service possible.

Working with Vita Mojo, the Honest team have explored ways to evolve and grow their business with technology. This partnership enables Honest to keep innovating, helping them to stay relevant in a post-Covid world without compromising on the quality, and the humanity, which make their restaurants such delightful places to eat.

If we have to use the tech, let’s make it feel as frictionless and human as possible
