Accessibility statement

Introduction

Vita Mojo is dedicated to delivering an inclusive and accessible experience for all users, including those with disabilities. We recognise the importance of digital accessibility and are committed to aligning with the European Accessibility Act 2025 (EAA) and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Our commitment

We are actively working to ensure that our kiosk, mobile web, and app food-ordering solutions for restaurants in the EU are:

  • Perceivable: Information and UI components are presented so that all users can perceive them
  • Operable: Our products are navigable by a wide range of users, including those using assistive technologies
  • Understandable: Content and functionality are clear, predictable, and easy to use
  • Robust: Our platform is compatible with a variety of assistive technologies.

Measures taken for accessibility

To enhance accessibility, we have implemented or are in the process of implementing the following:

  • Keyboard navigation and screen-reader compatibility across all ordering flows.
  • Alternative text for all non-text content (images, icons, buttons)
  • Captioning for multimedia tutorials and accessible document formats
  • Clear, structured content (semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks) to aid readability
  • Internal training on accessible design and development for product, UX, and engineering teams
  • Accessibility guidance to our clients alerting them to low-contrast brand colour combinations (currently threshold < 3:1)
  • All of our kiosks offer accessibility features (e.g., adjustable text, high contrast) and voice-over and D-pad navigation with additional hardware
  • Note: Per EAA guidelines, kiosks installed prior to 28 June 2025 may not be fully accessible for the device lifespan.

In the future, we will also have regular accessibility audits & testing against WCAG 2.1 AA.

Compliance status

Full compliance is currently being addressed as part of an ongoing roadmap and in line with the requirements of the EAA for future products and/or material changes to existing products.

Current gaps

  • Client-managed theming: Clients can choose brand colours that may fall below the WCAG AA contrast ratio
  • Web features: We are addressing WCAG 2.1 Level AA gaps such as missing skip navigation links, insufficient keyboard focus indicators, non-descriptive link text, alternative text for images, and unannounced dynamic content updates.
